Giving a Blessing

How to meet the three needs that every child is born with
  1. Secure Love. Let them know they are accepted as they are.  Let them know they are part of a loving and honoring family.  Give regular and generous helpings of affection.
  2. Significant purpose. Regularly affirm them. Let them know they have our attention. Gracefully admonish them and lovingly correct them. Draw clear moral boundaries. Challenge them to a high standard.
  3. Sufficient hope. Help them recognize their God-given abilities. "Train up" a child according to their unique bent and help them develop their gifts. Encourage them to live a life of adventure. Adventure helps us face and conquer our fears. Strong kids end up more safe in the end. Help turn their childhood into a series of positive accomplishments.
Blessing our grandchildren spiritually, emotionally, and physically Bless spiritually  - pray for them. Show them how to grow in their faith and use their spiritual gifts.
Bless emotionally - celebrate their accomplishments and avoid showing favoritism.
Bless physically - provide a safe and comfortable home where they are always welcome. Assure them they are beautiful or handsome in your eyes and in God's.
Communicating Unconditional love to your grandchildren Fill the needs of our grandchildren and bless them without any "strings attached." Remain positive and supporting.
Project idea. Start a journal just for chronicling the spiritual, emotional, and physical blessings and concerns that occur along life's way.
