One cause of lack of sharpness for pinhole exposures has nothing to do
with the physics of pinholes, but the practical problem of keeping the
camera steady during long exposures. I don't remember if you said how
long your exposures were. When exposures are long, it can be hard to
keep the camera steady the whole time. It can also be a problem with
whatever you use for a "shutter". So, if you can keep the camera more
steady, you might minimize some of the fuzziness.
