The Cats at Cat Whisker Ranch

These are some of the pictures of our cats here at Cat Whisker Ranch. We have five whisker producers. These pictures of them date from April, 1996.

Hari (14KB jpg)
Hari was about 22 years old when he died on July 14, 1996. He had gotten very slow in his old age. He had lost much of his hearing. He liked to be vacuumed since the sound of a vacuum didn't bother him.
Berry (18KB jpg)
Berry was about 16 years old when he succumbed to his illnesses. He had sufferred from kidney failure on April 1, 1995. He later had some heart problems. He had been under supportive therapies, mainly from the University of Minneasota Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He finally had his kidneys fail and died at 10:45, August 22, 1996.
Terry, Soul's mother and reigning queen (20KB jpg)
Terry is the fiercest cat in the house, despite being the smallest. She had one litter of three kittens before she was spayed. The kittens' names were Heart, Rhythm, and Soul. They were born on August 16, 1987 (the Harmonic Convergence).
Soul, junior cat (35KB jpg)
Soul's father is unknown, but some of his markings are said to be similar to those of a Maine Coon Cat. He likes to have his tummy tickled (as you can see), and also likes to play Peek-a-boo. He also has been cared for at the University of Minneasota Veterinary Teaching Hospital, but for an eye problem that has been cured.
Lucy, former fostercat (31KB jpg)
We took in Lucy as a fostercat, to keep her from being put up for adoption with strangers. We love her dearly, but she is still learning to get along with the other cats. Sometimes she winds up sleeping next to Berry.
Hari and Berry together (12KB jpg)
Hari and Berry have been best buddies for a long time. Despite his own medical problems, Berry acted as Hari's personal care attendent, making sure that Hari's face and feet got washed. After Hari had died, Berry washed Hari's face and feet one last time. Berry outlived Hari by less than seven weeks.
