Robert W. and Hedda Bird. They met in Italy after World War
II. My mom was an Italian native and my dad was a G.I. They were
married in Italy over 50 years ago.
My father passed away in 1994, and my mom currently lives in
Arizona. I'm the youngest of 3 boys.
The other two live in California and Alaska, respectively. We
tend to get scattered to the 4 winds.

Viareggio (my
mom's italian home town) had a wonderful pineta (pine forest)
that was the favorite for families, people courting, etc. this is
a shot of my mom in the forest.
