In 1860 he lived in Dyberry Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania. He appears to be in home of "Adenfah" (?) and Elizabeth Siles.

In 1870 he lived at home in Spring Brook, then Luzerne County.

He was married before 1880 to Sarah Jane Hopkins who was born in 1861 in Wales, and died in 1892.

In 1880 he lived in a boarding house with brother Edward, in Spring Brook Township, Lackawanna County, where he was a laborer, and his wife Sarah lived with his brother Richard's family.

Thomas married Anna Elias about 1893 who was born in 1869 in Pennsylvania, and died in 1950. She married Samuel, Thomas' brother, after his wife's death.

Thomas was the Spring Brook Township enumerator for the 1900 census where his residence was listed #1, and he was a fireman. His father William R. was living with the family.

Thomas died by suicide 19 August 1901, in Olyphant, Pennsylvania, and is buried in Springbrook Cemetery, Spring Brook.
