Subject: radical proposal

I am tempted to make the following radical proposal. Since we are
able to narrow our user population, I propose we remove the FTP
components from our project (and therefore the task descriptions).

This has several advantages: many of the user interface issues become
simpler; our application is no longer responsible for storing passwords;
the program no longer requires expectk in order to operate.

This gives us more opportunity to work on interface issues more central
to our application.
