 Throughout the second half of the 19th century the stars were concealed by apple green drapes activated by an ingenious pulley system later memorialized in some minor verses found on the backs of cheap Brighton postcards. Then physics replaced the fizzing drapes with a small railway car which rolls past the palm trees that have just taken the positions of dreams using a greasy piton.
