- The
Daughter Stood in a German Town as Her Father Passed By
-
-
The
Daughter rowed her little Green Pepper Boat across her Father’s Dream.
- After
Landfall, the
Daughter stood in a German town as her Father passed by eating Green
Peppers.
- He
did not recognize her; her Eyes were two Birds trapped in the Silver Barn.
-
-
Even with such Eyes the moonlit Green
Pepper Garden was dense and dark; she could not find her Shoes.
- She
would never again run through the moonlit Green Pepper Garden in her Shoes!
She cried.
- Overhearing
her sobs, a German Goldsmith fashioned a pair of Shoes from a melted
Child’s Casket.
- Soon,
she was amongst the Pepper Trees, following the scent of Peppers.
-
-
But She was far far too late”
complained the Storytelling Cow.
-
-
Years later her little Green Pepper Boat came to rest upon an
underground Staircase
- whose
Banisters were naked Children, brilliantly lit.
A warm Wind disturbed the sleeping Babies,
- like
red Leaves on black Linoleum.
- The
Children’s Eyes were Birds trapped in the Silver Barn.
-
-
The Daughter stepped from Her little
Green Pepper Boat as the Sun scurried (with the other Rats) down the Hall.
She was weary from dreaming of the Child’s Casket turned into her
Shoes.
-
-
But She was far far too late”
complained the Storytelling Cow.
-
-
Her Green Pepper Lover serenaded her,
and he was rude & idle with the naked Children, brilliantly lit.
- He
wore Pyrite Buttons on an Apple-Red Blouse. The Circus had unleashed him!
- Now
he followed the Sun (with the other Rats) down the Hallway.
- His
Eye was a blue Rosetta Stone
- lost
amongst the Tombstones and the Maelstroms
- and
its Iris is grace-noted (with genius)
- with
tiny dark Hounds.
-
-
But He was far far too late”
complained the Storytelling cow.
