General Education:

B.A. in studio arts from Augsburg college, Mpls., MN: Cum Laude.  Graduated in 1978.

Harmonica/Music Background:

I have been playing/studying the chromatic and diatonic harmonica for 24 years.   As a professional for 17 years, I have performed in a wide range of professional groups, been hired as a session player on numerous locally produced CDs, commercials, soundtracks for movies, and theater productions.

In 1987 and '88, I studied at the Parsons/New School Jazz and Contemporary Music B.F.A. Program in NYC.  During that time, I took private instruction on the chromatic with Robert Bonfiglio.  I also attended Cham-Ber Huang's harmonica workshops at the Grand Teton Music Festival in 1980.

Over the years I have studied Alto sax, jazz guitar and music theory with many talented and qualified instructors.  All of the information gleaned from these studies has been directly applied to the harmonica.

Future Projects:

In the future, I intend to publish a harmonica instruction book that reflects my 17 years of experience teaching the harmonica in private lessons and groups.
