Installing SkyPoint Macintosh Software From Floppy Disk

  • 1.Insert SkyPoint Installer Disk 1 into your disk drive.
  • 2.Open the Installer
    • A. Double-click on the SkyPoint Installer Disk to open it.
    • B. Double-click on the SkyPoint Installer.sea file. A window will appear.
  • 3.Extract the compacted files.
    • A. Click the "Continue" button in the window. A new window will appear.
    • B. Click the "Save" button in the new window.
    • C. When the installer is finished with Disk 1, it will pop the disk out and ask for SkyPoint Installer Disk 2. Put SkyPoint Installer Disk 2 in the disk drive.
    • D. When the installer is finished with Disk 2, it will pop the disk out and ask for SkyPoint Installer Disk 3. Put SkyPoint Installer Disk 3 in the disk drive.
    • E. When the installer is finished with Disk 3, it will pop the disk out and ask for SkyPoint Installer Disk 1. Put SkyPoint Installer Disk 1 in the disk drive.
    • F. When the installation is complete, a window will appear. Click the "Quit" button.
  • 4.Locate "Config PPP".
    • A. Double-click the "MacPPP" folder in your "SkyPoint" folder. You will see an icon called "Config PPP".
  • 5.Move "Config PPP" into your Control Panels folder.
    • A. Locate the "System Folder" on your hard drive.
    • B. Double-click on the "System Folder" icon. A window will open with other folders in it.
    • C. Double-click on the "Control Panels" folder in your "System Folder" window.
    • D. Drag "Config PPP" from the "MacPPP" folder into the "Control Panels" folder.
    • E. Close the "MacPPP" folder.
  • 6.Restart your Macintosh.
  • 7.Follow the directions in this manual for configuring your Macintosh Software.
